The Delegation of Flanders is situated on Szucha street in Warsaw, which is the political and diplomatic center of the Polish capital. The agency Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) has offices on the very same location. FIT supports Flemish companies that want to develop activities in Poland and Polish companies that have investment plans in Flanders. In Poland FIT also has an office in Poznan.
Tasks
The Delegation of Flanders is the diplomatic point of contact of the Government of Flanders in Poland and in the 3 Baltic Republics. The Delegation was opened on 15th October 2007 and is part of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium. The Delegation of Flanders in Warsaw looks after all competences of the Flemish Government, with the exception of investment and foreign trade promotion. One can turn to the Delegation for all kinds of information about Flanders and about the bilateral relations between Flanders and the 4 countries in the jurisdiction of the Delegation. The main task of the Delegation is putting Flanders on the map through focused communication; detecting cooperation opportunities; reporting about relevant political and other developments, consulting and supporting partners in the region.
